4 Symptoms Of Varicose Veins and Superficial Vein Disease

Varicose veins can affect everyone. Although, if you’re a woman, you may be more prone to them. You may not be immediately sure that what you’re seeing are varicose veins. However, there are ways to know if a varicose vein is forming by paying close attention to these symptoms:

1. Veins With Darker Colors

One of the easiest ways to identify varicose veins is by their color. They have a darker blue and purple color, and you can differentiate it from other healthy veins. You can do a daily checkup to see if any veins are changing their color to make sure it doesn’t turn into something worse.

2. Veins That Look Like Bumps

Varicose veins differ from the rest of your veins because they get swollen and become bumps. These don’t show up from one day to the next, so it’s essential to be on the lookout for any bumps in your veins.

3. Heavy Feeling In Your Legs

When you start to feel your legs “heavier.” This feeling is caused because the blood that goes through your legs doesn’t flow as it normally does due to the weakness of your veins. This can also cause discomfort because you won’t be able to do your daily activities without getting tired quickly.

4. Muscle Cramping or Swelling

Muscle cramping or swelling are common symptoms you can experience. It also has to do with your veins failing on letting blood flow, the blood becomes trapped, and the vein can start to swell.
